Reparations Will Make America Great! Make It Make Sense

It’s not complicated. If America intends to lead globally, America must address its most vulnerable population and that population is the Black American Descendant of Chattel Slavery. Rooted and entrenched in systemic inequalities, this vulnerability has manifested into compound disparities. America has a responsibility to get this right or it will be at the detriment of us all.

Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery also have a responsibility too. Black American Descendants of Chattel Slavery have to be committed to healing and repair. Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery cannot check out and allow America to morph into a new nation, nor can Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery sit on the sideline and become a permanent underclass, a further disadvantage to America's progress. The Trump Administration has prioritized Americans first and Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery are America First. Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery must take advantage of the opportunity and seize the moment. 

Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery are foundational to the nation.

Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery were here before the colonizers arrived.

Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery were brought here in chains from Africa.

Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery were forced into 246 years of free labor.

Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery built America with their lives for generations.

And yes, the harmful effects of the systemic injustices of Jim Crow, Black Codes, Convict Leasing, no New Deal, no GI Bill, Redlining, War on Drugs and Mass Incarceration still affect Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery today.

However, as America is being rebuilt and Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery must be, equally, a part of the rebuilding. If America is going to be GREAT, Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery must work right alongside White Americans to transform America and this is why Reparations for Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery is so critical right now.

The economic divide is widening and Black Americans Descendants of Chattel Slavery are being left further and further behind which directly affects America's ability to compete globally and be a great nation. Piece milling policy, one policy initiative at a time, has not and does not work. Again, it’s not complicated. Reparations is an economic agenda and must happen. Reparations will make America GREAT!
